Movement IV

Continuing with the open choreography of the Williamson Technique, this semester of training allows the actor’s body to move to a more sensual and receptive level of experience. Students begin to understand and participate in deeper, richer, and more personal contact with the ensemble through intense sensory and imagination work. More work is done to integrate the movement and acting work through “drunk”, “animal” and character exercises with a final presentation at the end. The ultimate goal is for the actor to become the full embodiment of sensuality, grace, flexibility and sophisticated behavior, and to effortlessly apply this transformation to making clear physical choices in the acting work.

Duration: 2.5 hours each class.
