Alani has been coaching young and professional actors in LA since 2014. After serving as an adjunct professor for West Hollywood's Lee Strasberg Institute for Theatre and Film, he founded Open City Acting Studio in 2019. Within OCAS, Alani is driven to teaching actors how to utilize their artistic gifts toward becoming autonomous "360 talent" capable of crafting careers specific to their unique passions and goals. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts (B.F.A, Theatre), he studied at the Experimental Theatre Wing (Alexander and Suzuki Technique) and Lee Strasberg Institute for Theatre and Film (Method Acting) before being awarded the coveted Ron Howard Fellowship. Post graduation, he trained for two years at the renowned Maggie Flanigan Studio (Meisner Technique) before moving to Los Angeles.
